It covers the following material:

  • Hob cutting tool terminology
  • Generating gears
  • Hobbing machine terminology
  • Measuring, mounting, and truing the hob
  • Mounting and truing the work piece
  • Basic part inspection
  • Tooth size, runout
  • And recognizing problems
